Melba Marie Geren, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 3, 2007 in a local hospital. She traveled with her husband for over 20 years evangelizing and served with him for over 35 years in pastoral ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jarve and Monty Watson Harmon; five brothers, P. J. Harmon, Francis Harmon, Jarve Harmon, Jr., Willard Harmon and Wilburn Harmon; one sister, Louise Harmon Ragsdale; and one granddaughter, Jamie Marie Geren.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Rev. Randall Lee Geren of Cleveland; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Linda Geren of Decatur, TN; two daughters, Charlotte Casteel of Cleveland, and Tammy White and her husband Thomas of Smithville, TN; one brother, Wallace Harmon of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Peggy McLain of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Rocky Casteel, Hollie Geren Rapello, Randy Lewis Geren, Lacey Nicole Duke, Lindsey Marie White; two great grandchildren, Hannah Daily Casteel, and Caroline Grace Casteel; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the North Cleveland Church of God Chapel with Rev. A. J. Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with W. J. White, J. D. Pedigo, Bruce Parton, Tommy Barrett, Wendell Neeley, Matt Snowden, and Jeff Stevenson serving as pallbearers. Charles Turner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
