Rev. Randall L Geren, age 86, resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, January 21, 2008. He passed away in a local hospital with his loving family by his side. Rev. Geren was an Ordained Minister in the Church of God and was an Itinerate Evangelist for over 20 years and served in pastoral ministry for over 35 years. He was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God and a member of the Unity Sunday School Class. Rev. Geren was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Melba Marie Geren; parents, Jim and Dovie Geren; two brothers, Rev. Gilbert Geren and James Geren; two sisters, Dorothy Gill and Mildred Neeley; one granddaughter, Jamie Marie Geren. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Linda Geren, Decatur, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Casteel, Cleveland, TN, and Tammy and Thomas White, Smithville, TN; five grandchildren, Rocky Casteel and wife, Stacey, Hollie Geren Rapello and husband, Paul, Randy Lewis Geren, Lacey Nicole Duke and husband, Patrick, and Lindsey Marie White. Three great grandchildren, Hannah Daily Casteel, Caroline Grace Casteel and Charlotte Marie Rapello. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of the life and home going of Rev. Geren will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at North Cleveland Church of God with General Overseer, Dr. G. Dennis McGuire, Pastor Mitch Maloney and Rev. Marshall Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Bruce Parton, Tommy Barrett, Wendell Neeley, Brad Geren, Dennis Geren,Gilbert Lee Geren, Mitchell Geren and Jeff Geren serving as pallbearers. Charles Turner and the Retired Ministers of the Church of God will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
