Ruth Mae Goins, age 79, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was formerly employed with Peytons and also worked for Pruetts Food Town in Chattanooga. She was an excellent seamstress as well. She was a loving and devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Georgia Brown Ensley.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn G. and Larry Rigg, Ooltewah, TN; four sons and daughters in law, James R. and Carolyn Goins, Robert E. Goins, Steven R. and Jeanne Goins and David M. and Jacqueline Goins all of Cleveland, TN; one brother, Arvin Ensley, and three sisters and brothers in law, Ruby and Winfred Sipe, Elvie Crumbley and Susie and Kenneth McCormack all of Cleveland, TN; 11 grandchildren, Mark Goins, Lacy Tite, Dahlia Guinn, Maria Miller, Shane Goins, Joe Rigg, Amy Rigg, Jill Lovin, Micah Smith, Gerrit Goins and Joel Smith; 6 great grandchildren, Sarah Goins, Hunter Guinn, Aiden Guinn, Austin Miller, Shelby Goins and Allie Goins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey and Rev. Tim Cowdell officiating. Music will be provided by Nancy Paul, Pianist. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. The family requests memorials be made to the Ruth Goins Memorial Scholarship Fund 3619 Sourwood Trail N.W. Cleveland, TN 37312 or Hospice of Chattanooga.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
