Charles H. Goodner

Charles H. Goodner, age 76, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008, in a local healthcare center. He was a retired forklift operator for 41 years for Magic Chef. He was also a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus Waymon Goodner and Alice Humberd and one son, Chester McNeese.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Bonnie Goodner, Cleveland, TN; four daughters and sons in law, Mary and Jim Newton, Cleveland, Joyce Goodner, North Port, Florida, Connie Cartwright, Cleveland and Ann and Les Logan, Petal, MS; two sisters and brothers in law, Mary Frances and John Kibble and Nancy and the late, Doyle, Massey, all of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren, Barbara Huffaker, Jason Huffaker, Avery McNeese, Lee Cartwright and Eli Logan; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 4, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Wilson and Rev. Herbert Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Hill Cemetery. Jason Huffaker, Eli Logan, Avery McNeese, Larry Reagan, Dwight Reagan and Les Logan will serve as pallbearers.
