Pamela Gail Gorby

d. September 13, 2010

Pamela Gorby, age 47, a resident of Cleveland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 13, 2010 at her home with family by her side.

Pam had a reoccurrence of cancer in April, and never gave up hope. She was full of life and always looked at the best in every person. Her smile lit up a room and her hair reflected her beauty. The grace of God flowed from every pore of her body until the very end. She served the Lord, Jesus Christ, everyday, even though she was in tremendous pain at times.

Pam led praise and worship for many churches throughout her life, and loved to be in His presence. And now, she is praising in the Heavenly Choir alongside her family. Earth lost an absolutely wonderful young lady, but Heaven gained an incredibly gifted soul. Pam is survived by her husband, Justin Gorby of Cleveland; parents, Rev. J. D. Stump and Brenda Stacey Stump of Morristown, TN; sister, Alinda Stump LaMar of Jasper, AL; two nieces, Kimberly Brooke LaMar Lankford and Kristin LaMar Rader; and one great niece, Alayna Brooke Lankford.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with Rev. J. D. Stump, Rev. Cecil Guiles, Rev. Donald Stovall, and Rev. Mitch Maloney officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home, which has charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pamela Gorby Cancer Institute Fund, P. O. Box 5184, Cleveland, TN 37320.
