Virginia L. Hagler

Virginia L. Hagler, age 80, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away early Sunday morning, October 5, 2008, in a local hospital. She was retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital. She attended the North Cleveland Church of God. She loved to read and she loved all her grandkids and great grandkids who affectionately called her Nanny . She was preceded in death by her husband, R. J. Hagler and her parents, Thomas J. Leonard and Mamie Louise Whaley Leonard.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Tom and Ruth Hagler, Cleveland, TN; one daughter and son in law, Bonnie and Robert Ford, Ringold, GA; two brothers, Bill Leonard, East Ridge, TN and Gene Leonard, Ringold, GA; three sisters, Bettye Leonard, Red Bank, TN, Patricia Chambers, East Ridge, TN and Joyce Carter, LaFayette, TN; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ellis, Sherri Jones, Laura Henry and Tommy Hagler; 9 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ryan, Joey, Alyssa, Jullian, Ashlie, Timothy, Jasmine and Makaila. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Mitch Maloney officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tommy Hagler, Phillip Everette, George Ellis, Robert Ford, Jack Grooms and Mike Voelker serving as pallbearers.
