George Edward Haire, age 75, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, in a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired master plumber and electrician. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from March 17, 1952 thru March 27, 1957. He was in the Korean War. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He loved camping and fishing and spending time with his family who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mable Haire, one sister, Clara Mae Souci, one grandson Christ Bentz, one daughter, Judy Ann Bowman, one nephew, Michael Shroth.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Florine Haire, three daughters, Beverly M. Haire, Cleveland, TN, Kay Lynn Headricks, Hixson, TN, Georgetta Clark; one son, Dustin Edward Haire, Cleveland, TN; three sisters, Beulah Armour, Cleveland, TN, Mildred Reed, Texas and Sue Katie Miller, Atlanta, GA and one brother, Allan Haire, Benton, TN; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins and a community that will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Stansberry. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Dustin Edward Haire, William Weir, Jamie Bishop, Robert Arelleno, Jeremy Naranjo, and Trey Climer serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 22, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
