Marlin Hamby

Marlin Yvonne Hamby, age 74, resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 10, 2009. He passed away in a local hospital. He was a member of Michigan Ave. Baptist Church. He retired from Magic Chef. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lula Picklesimer Hamby and one brother, Willard Hamby and one sister in law and brother in law, Barbara and Arnold Gardner.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Trew Hamby; daughter and her husband, Stephanie and Ric Munsey of Galax, VA, son and wife, Chris and Ji Suk Hamby of Seoul, South Korea; grandson, Ross Munsey; sister in law, Rebecca Hamby; brothers in law and sisters in law,Carlos and Charlene Trew; Roy and Joan Trew; Stanley and Mary Trew; Terry and Pam Crump; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Hayes and Pastor Charles DeFriece officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
