Wanda Hamby

Wanda Christine Hamby, age 72, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was retired from Magic Chef after 17 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. V. (Happy) Brown and Bessie Brown and one sister, Phyllis Rice.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene Hamby, Cleveland, TN, one step son and spouse, Rick and Alice Hamby, Charleston, TN and one step daughter and spouse, Rhonda and Ricky McCoy, Cleveland, TN; 4 step grandchildren, Chris McCoy, Scott McCoy, Chad Hamby and Cindy Carroll. 4 step great grandchildren. Two nieces and spouse, Debbie and Eddie Phillips and Kathy Minor, Cleveland; two great nieces, Priscilla Williams and Samantha Phillips and one great nephew, Nathan Minor. 3 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Vaughn and Rev. James Vaughn officiating. Interment will following Sunset Memorial Gardens with Nick Williams, Scott McCoy, Chris McCoy, Jack Dodey, Chad Hamby and Baron Carroll serving as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 25, 2006, from 6-9 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home and also on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
