William S. Hannah, age 87, lifelong resident of Bradley County, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at his residence. He was an active member of the Flint Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a well known dairy and beef cattle farmer in Bradley County. He was a member of the Flint Springs Ruritan Club. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country in WWII in the European Theatre. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Beatrice Sloan Hannah and one brother, John Wesley Hannah. He is survived by his beloved wife, Chassie Renner Hannah, one son and daughter in law, Hugh and Pam Hannah and one daughter and son in law, Janice and Gary Parker all of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, Adrienne Belcher, Andy Senters, Ashley Senters, Rachel Hannah Stewart and Luke Hannah and great grandchildren, Taelor Belcher, Jordan Belcher, Mecelah Senters, Landon Senters, Brent Senters, Noah Senters, Gabriel Stewart and Abigail Stewart. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 21, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Flint Springs Cemetery with Andy Senters, Ashley Senters, Jordan Belcher, Luke Hannah and Charles and David Hannah serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flint Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church c/o Jim Mitchell 515 Mitchell Road Cleveland, TN 37323.
