George Henry Howard

George Henry Howard 73 of Cleveland passed away on December 20, 2009 at his home.

He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church and the Always Ready Sunday School Class.

He was an avid golfer until illness prevented his playing.

He was the son of the late William Wesley Howard and Delia Mae Copeland Howard. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Delores Trewhitt Howard: daughter Robbie Howard Steward, son Steven Thomas and wife Mary Katherine (Kathy) Howard. Two grandchildren: Brock and wife Casey Coleman Steward and Brent and wife Lauren McKay Steward, all of Cleveland. One brother J.L. Howard and Three sisters. A very special caregiver and family friend Mary Johnson as well as his constant companion "Boots."

The family will receive friends December 22, 2009 at Grissom Funeral Home beginning at 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following with Alan Lovelace and Joe Brooks officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterville Baptist Church Building Fund, 3722 Dalton Pike SE Cleveland, TN 37323.
