David Houston Jackson, 31, a resident of Cleveland, and formerly of Johnson City, TN, passed away Thursday morning, August 30, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a 1994 graduate of Cleveland High School where he played football four years and was All-State two years. He attended East Tennessee State University for three years. He was preceded in death by grandparents, James Houston Jackson and Sadie Jackson, and Luther D. Ringo and Grace Ringo.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth James of Cleveland; father, Buddy Jackson and his wife Debbie, of Spring City, TN; three brothers, Jamie Jackson of Spring City, TN, Jeffrey Jackson and fianc Emily Sawyer of Johnson City, TN, and Cole Jackson of Spring City; three stepbrothers, Daniel Kelley, Ethan Kelley, and Matthew James and his wife, Mickie; one stepsister, Kami Loe and husband Greg; girlfriend, Angela Overbay of Cleveland; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Mitch Maloney, Rev. Cecil Guiles and Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the church prior to the funeral.
