Ronald L. Johnston

Ronald Lee Johnston, Jr., age 38, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday evening, August 29, 2007, in a local hospital. He was employed as a security officer at the Bradley County Juvenile Detention Center where he had just been awarded the rank of Corporal. He was a devoted member of the Mountain View Church of God. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Riddle Johnston, Cleveland, TN; his parents, Ronald Lee Johnston, Sr. and Judith Johnston, Cleveland; one daughter, Sierra Jasmine Johnston, Cleveland, TN; two sisters, Rhonda Leanne (Jeffrey) Holbert, Cleveland and Sherri Anne (Phillip) Chapman, Cleveland, TN; one step brother, Lloyd Shisler, Jr, Morgantown, West Virginia and one step sister, Catherine Marie Cooper, Ohio. Mother and father in law, David C. and Beverly J. Riddle, Cleveland and brother in law, John (Tina) Riddle and sister in law, Kimberly and Rand Witz. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Church of God with Senior Pastor, Rev. Fred Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in Beaty Cemetery with Daniel Epperson, Dennis Epperson, David Epperson, John Riddle, Jeff Holbert and Phillip Chapman serving as pallbearers. Graveside services will conclude with full military honors.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
