Melvin L. Jones, age 75, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007, in a local hospital. He was of the Church of God faith. He was born September 25, 1932 in Arcola, Virginia. He retired from K.D.I. in 1991 in Cincinnati, Ohio with 21 years of service. He became a resident of Tennessee in 1993. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and master craftsman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jones and Anna Mae Childers Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Jones, Cleveland, TN; one son and daughter in law, Steve and Michelle Jones, Bethel, Ohio; two daughters and sons in law, Cindy and Mike Gilman, Cincinnati, OH and Melanie and Dave Keane, Trenton, OH; one sister, Beureada Ward, Withansville, OH; two step sons and spouses, Terry and Lesa Kidd, Lebanon, TN and Tim and Meshelle Kidd, Cleveland, TN; two step daughters, Sandee Kidd, Apex, N.C. and Debi Kidd, Cleveland, TN. Grandchildren, Ryan and Josh Jones, Zach and Brook Keane, Scottie and Nicholas Gilman, Taylor and Tatum Kidd, Sharmaine Haun, Tasha Kortez, Jordan Kidd and Makayla Kidd. 6 great grandchildren. Special nephew, Mike and Ellen Jones, Clarksville, VA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Hank Davis officiating. Interment will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Phone 476.8575 for more information. You may send online condolences to www.grissomfh.net
