Wylma Ernestine Jenkins King, age 69, resident of Decatur, TN, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008, in a Decatur Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired with over 30 years of service as a criller and knitter with Amtex and United Knitting. She was an avid fisherman. She was preceded in death by her father, James Leonard Sunshine Jenkings, her husband, Lewis King, and one son, Lewis Butch King.
She is survived by her mother, Nora Francis Polly McKinney Shelton, Cleveland, TN; two sons, Courtney and his wife Susan, King of Cleveland, TN and Dustin King, Perry, GA. Two daughters, Kathy Bowers and her special friend, Ben Runyan, Decatur, TN and Kyrstyn Burris and her husband Paul, Burris, Decatur, TN; one brother, Chester Jenkins and his wife, Margaret, Cleveland and two sisters, Karen McCollough and her husband, Rick, Dalton, GA and Arlene Johns and her husband, Jerry, Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren, Kevin Reasons, Kelley Bowers, Joshua King, Shelby King, Megan King and Jessica King and one great granddaughter, Audrey Kaylin Reasons. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Paul Fox officiating. Interment will be held privately.
