Faye Knotts, age 48, resident of Old Fort, TN, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, in a Cleveland hospital. She was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church where she was employed as church secretary. She served on the church council, church finance committee and long range planning committee. She was a volunteer for Vacation Bible School and a Sunday School teacher. She was also employed as medical transcription for Center for Orthopedic Care. She was a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House as a food provider. She always wanted to help someone anytime she could.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Knotts, Old Fort, TN; one beloved daughter, Rebecca Faye Nipper, Old Fort, TN; parents, Bo and Dot Hood, Old Fort, TN; two brothers, Edward Hood, Leesburg, GA and Darrell Hood, Old Fort, TN and three sisters, Gail Engram, Leesburg, GA, Diane Dugan, Macon, GA and Linda Stephens, Tupelo, MS. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. David Tuten and Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Michael Engram, Samuel Hood, Zachary Hood, B. J. Lamb, Zane Hood, Micah Thomas and Dakota Knotts serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Shepard, Lillie Mantooth, Ken and Connie Knotts and Adam Donegan and members of Fayes Sunday School Class.
