Ronald Kosemund,age 74, resident of Cleveland, passed away early Saturday morning at his residence. He had just recently retired from 35 years of service to the Cleveland Daily Banner as advertising manager. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he had coached girls softball in Cleveland for many years. He loved his family and he loved his work. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Kosemund and Inez Jones Kosemund.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra Faye Kosemund, one son and daughter in law, Randy and Denise Kosemund; two daughters and sons in law, Mary and Darrell Matthews and Ronda and Steve Moore all of Cleveland. Seven grandchildren, Brandon Knight, Ashlie Knight, Jennifer Kosemund, Jonathan Kosemund, Tim Moore, Erin Moore and Sean Moore.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Moore, Jonathan Kosemund, Jim Bryant, Joe Moore, Allen Mincey, Mayor Gary Davis, Jim Hogue and Jim May serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Watson, Mayor Tom Rowland and George Starr.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 10, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
