Geneva L. Yates Milsap Leamon, age 86, resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, in a local nursing home. Born on March 4, 1921, she was a native of Polk County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Dennis and Florida Yates. She was a resident of Cleveland, TN for 51 years. She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry C. Milsap and her second husband, Lee R. Leamon, one daughter, Elizabeth Milsap, step son, Arthell Leamon and grandson, Joseph Leamon. 5 sisters, Easter Higdon, Frances Yates, Lottie Haddock, Mae Womac, Mary Lee Garren and four brothers, John Yates, Samuel Yates, Thomas Yates and Boyd Yates.

She is survived by three daughters, Ina and Bobby Walker, Cleveland, TN; Essie Mullinax, Cleveland, TN and Thelma Arledge, Cleveland, TN; three sons, Henry and Judy Milsap, Cleveland, TN, Terry Milsap, Cleveland, TN, Wayne and Melissa Leamon, Old Fort, TN; two sisters, Mildred Dunn, Athens, TN and Levena and Ralph Hester, Athens, TN; sister in law, Theo Yates, Benton, TN. 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Two special friends, Frankie Wolgamott and Pat Flanary.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 8:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Graveside services will be Friday morning, December 7, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with grandsons, Robert Walker, Melvin Walker, Alan Walker, James Dodson, Marvin Milsap, Jamie Vines and Casey Leamon serving as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the North Cleveland Baptist Church building program.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
