Darrell Longwith

Darrell Longwith, 46, a resident of Benton, having lost his battle with cancer, passed away Wednesday evening, February 21, 2007 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nellie E. Longwith and a brother, Steven Longwith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Longwith of Benton; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Jenna Carter of Benton; three step-sons, Bill Carter of Ducktown, Jeff Carter and Keith Carter, both of Turtletown; two sisters, Malinda Cofer and husband Robert of Cleveland, and Melanie Varner of Tasso; his father, Bobby Longwith; two nephews, Adam Varner and Michael Longwith of Tasso; special uncle and aunt, Tom and Juanita Leamon of Tasso; several other aunts, uncles, relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. David Bowers and Rev. Dennis Leamon officiating. Interment will follow at Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery with Darion Leamon, Micheal Leamon, Tim Bacon, Scott McDonald, Randall Leamon and Greg Swafford serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Adventa Hospice, Athens, TN.
