William R. Lynch

William R. Lynch, age 72, resident of Old Fort, TN, passed away Friday evening, February 13, 2009, in a local hospital. He was a Christian man of the Baptist faith. He loved his Lord and he loved his family. He also loved to farm, hunt and fish. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Lynch and Nettie Abercrombie and one brother, Johnny Lynch.

He is survived by his loving children, two sons, Billy Robert Lynch, Jr., Ider, Alabama and David Alan Lynch, Chattanooga, TN; three daughters, Karen Williams, Old Fort, TN, Sharon Badgett, Phoenix, AZ and Melissa Maria Barnett, Madison, Alabama; his beloved fianc, Ruth Morris, Cleveland, TN; four brothers, Smitty Lynch, Haletown, TN, Jimmy Lynch, Wildwood, GA, O. L. Lynch, Piney, Georgia and Terry Lynch, Piney, GA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. John Looper officiating.
