Harry Albert Macht, Jr., age 86, resident of Cleveland, TN, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at his residence. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was employed by Cavitt Construction Co. and Coppingers and Associates. He was a veteran of WWII and served as Master Sgt. in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Bass Fisherman Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina C. (Ann) Macht, and parents, Harry Albert Macht, Sr. and Adaline Boden.
He is survived by his loving daughter and son in law, Carol Ann and Roy Farmer, Cleveland, TN; two sisters, Margaret and husband Jack Miller, Alexander, KY and Carrie Mazor, Breckenridge, KY; two granddaughters, Desiree Farmer Abraham and Roy Parks Farmer, II and wife Jeanetta, Cleveland, TN and two great grandchildren, Amy and husband Randy Honaker, Pacific Grove, CA and Abigayil Abraham, Cleveland, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Seaton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 5, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
