Delena Marion

Delena Mae Marion, age 64, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at her residence. She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God where she was employed as secretary for the International Prayer Center. She was faithful to her church and she enjoyed her ministry of praying for people and taking prayer requests. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and worked with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Frances Whittaker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joe C. Marion, Jr., Cleveland; one daughter, Tami Marion, Old Fort, TN; two sisters, Lavonna Whittaker, St. Cloud, Florida and Evalyn Wright, Lehigh Acres, Florida; two sisters in law, Janice Elliott and Carolyn Marion, both of Columbus, GA and two brothers in law, Charles Marion, Phoenix City, AL and Dan Marion, New Port Richey, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Barnett and Rev. Wendell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
