Joan I. Mills

Joan Isabell Mills, age 54, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was employed with Unum Provident as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church that she loved very much. She worked with the Animal Rights Activist and loved her cats. She was a loving mother to her son. Joan is eternally grateful to all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael John Gaitanis.

She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Joseph Mills, Cleveland, TN; mother, Dorothy Gaitanis, Knoxville, TN; brother, John Michael Gaitanis, California and sister, Willa Carey Gaitanis, Chevy Chase, Maryland. Two nieces, Alcora Walden and Carey Walden.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Father Bob Hofstetter officiating.
