Rev T. R. Morse

Rev. T. R. Morse, age 89, resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 19, 2007. He was born September 8, 1917 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of T. H. and Lucy Morse. He was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. He was a member of the Unity Sunday School Class. Rev. Morse entered the ministry in 1942 as an ordained minister in the Church of God and he retired in 1982. During this time he pastured many churches and served in the World Missions Dept. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Maudel Morse Meares, Odine Morse and Evelyn Morse Carroll.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Vernice Wiggins Morse, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Tom and Carolyn Morse, Chattanooga, TN and daughter and son in law, Rona and Roland Vines, Panama City, Florida. Five granddaughters and eight great grandchildren with several nieces and nephews and a host of friend also survive.

The Home Going Celebration for the Life of Rev. T. R. Morse will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Williams, Rev. Cecil Guiles and Rev. Fred Branham officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with members of the Unity Sunday School Class serving as pallbearers.

The family requests memorials be made to the World Missions Department of the Church of God.
