Edna Elder Moyer

Edna Elder Moyer, age 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie (Doc) Elder and Geneva Maude Elder Moore; five brothers, Robert Elder, Joe Elder, Thomas Elder, Vance Elder, and Forrest Elder; and two grandchildren, Karen Queen and Donnie Wade.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Ellis, Rickey Ellis, Ronnie Ellis, all of Cleveland, and Charles Wade of Alabama; six daughters, Mary Queen, Martha Hewitt, Sue Hickman, and Sharon Parker, all of Cleveland, Vickie Smith of Chattanooga, and Connie Hayes of Athens; three sisters, Frances Thompson of Chattanooga, Reba Cate and Peggy Wilson, both of Ocoee, TN; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 7 p.m. at Mt. Olive Church of God with Rev. Gary Smith and Pastor Gary Sears officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Wade, Casey Crittenden, Nicholas McAllister, Kenneth Hickman, Jamie Ellis, Brent Hayes, Rickey Ellis, Jr., Brian Smith, Chase Ellis, Collin Ellis, Billy Hayes, Thomas Hickman, Gary Smith, Chuck Wade, and Mike Parker.
