Dotty E. Parrish Mullis

Dotty E. Parrish Mullis, 66 years young, resident of Cleveland, Tennessee went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2009. She is of the Nazarene faith. Dotty was employed by Sky Ridge hospital and was a private caregiver for many years.

Some people call her, Mom, Momma, MamawDotty,Granny, Grandma, Nanny, caregiver, friend and neighbor. Everyone knows her best as Our Angel and Our Rock .

Dotty was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Bertha Parrish and a brother, Harold Parrish, all of Spencer, Indiana.

Dotty is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Martin) Reed of Cleveland, Carol and (Reverend Brian Nave) of Winchester, Tennessee, Christy (Lewis) Barefoot of Rocky Face, Georgia. Two sons, Bobby (Suzie) Mullis of Athens and Scott (Debbie) Mullis of Cleveland. Survived by longtime friend and companion Robert Mullis of Cleveland, Tennessee, one sister, Imogene Craker of Portland, Oregon.

Dotty has an abundance of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dotty is survived by two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at Grissom Funeral Home, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Brian Nave and the Reverend Phil Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Chestuee Cemetery with Josh Mullis, Justin Mullis, Adam Mullis, Michael Mullis, Eric Collisi and Chad Nave serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Barefoot, Adam Mullis, Jr., Austin Pack, and Brandon Mullis.
