Gloma Joy Murray, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away at her residence Monday morning, December 15, 2008. She was co-founder of Murmaid Mattress Factory and had served as Vice President of the company. She was presently employed with Steinmart in Chattanooga. She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Murray, parents, Clarence George Heiland and Marguerite Clark Heiland, and one brother, Jon Heiland.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter in law, Roger and Cindy Pickett, and two beloved granddaughters, Lindsey and Kristin Pickett all of Cleveland, TN; two brothers, George Heiland, Orange, California and Carroll Heiland, Anaheim Hills, California, four sisters, Diane Sayre, Yucaipa, California, Virginia Poeschl, Creswell, Oregon, Debbie Salinas, Yorba Linda, California and Jackie Lopez, Santa Anna, California; special sister in law, Charlene Heiland, Tustin, California, special brother in law, Ygnacio Salinas and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Griffith officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bart Lewis, Randy Saunders, Roger Turpin, Robert Thompson, Greg Travis, Knox Horner and Frank Bryant serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 18, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
