J. D. (John) Musgrove, 78, a resident of Old Fort, TN, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2006 in a Decatur, TN nursing home. He was a member of the Old Ocoee Baptist Church in Benton. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was a truck driver and drove many years for Cletus Benton and finished his trucking career with Pilot Oil Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lube and Hazel Lillard Musgrove; daughter, Sherry Holcumb; and sisters, Bobbie Dockery and Wilburn Shelton.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Musgrove and his wife Carol, Gary Musgrove, and Ricky Musgrove, all of Old Fort; one brother and sister in law, Dan and Jo Musgrove of Cleveland; two sisters and brothers in law, Katherine and John Henry Housley of Lenoir City, and Willie and Doug Prueitt of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Ricky Musgrove, Brian Wilson, Dennis Mullinax and April Collins; two step grandchildren, Stacey Bowman and Steven McGowan; one great granddaughter; two step great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Wilford Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery with Military Honors.
