Betty Jo Parker

Betty Jo Parker, age 79, passed away at her home in McDonald, TN on August 14, 2008. Betty was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Earl and Juanita Green, Sr.; and her loving son, William Willie Parker, Jr. and one grandson, Ron Parker, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Parker, McDonald, TN; son, Ronald Parker, Sr. and two daughters in law, Wanda and Donna Parker. 6 granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Evelyn Choate and Phyllis Waters; brother and sister in law, Earl (Sonny) and Joyce Green, Jr. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gail Scoggins officiating. A Trinity Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the services at the gravesite. Pallbearers will be Mark Bowman, Brent Clayton, Mike Green, Eddie Choate, David Carter and Charles Linden.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 11:00 a.m.to 1:30 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
