Thomas E. Pearson

Gene Pearson, 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday evening, May 29, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Kinser Church of God. He was owner and operator of Big J Ranch Store on Waterlevel Highway for 25 years and also the owner of Big J. Cars. He loved to horseback ride. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Pearson and Eda Smith Pearson; three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Loretta Pearson of Cleveland; two sons, Tim Pearson of Cleveland, and Tom Pearson and his wife, Bonnie of Ohio; one daughter, Kathy Pearson of Texas; one sister, Verna Potter of Texas; and special friends, Connie and Floyd Gibson and Jackie, Mike and Tony Burrell.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service.
