Charles Junior Powell

Charles Junior Powell, age 58, resident of Copperhill, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Christian faith. He was self employed. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Harvey Powell.

He is survived by his mother, Zora Lee Powell, Turtletown, TN, one son and daughter in law, Dewayne and Stephanie Powell, LaFayette, GA; one daughter on son in law, Carolee and Kenny Brancefield, Charleston, TN; one brother and sister in law, Jerrell and Charlotte Powell, Cleveland, TN and two grandchildren, Klay and Kole Brancefield.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Turtletown, TN with Rev. Mike Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Chris Powell, Paul Ray Powell, Anthony Powell, Clay Gourley, Steve Martin, Darrell Tankersly and Kenny Brancefield serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 15, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral.
