Brenda Marie Presswood

Brenda Marie Presswood, age 64, resident of Charleston, TN, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was formerly employed with Kresge which later became K-Mart for 33 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Mowery and Effie Minnis Mowery and one brother, Claud W. Mowery.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Donald F. Presswood, Sr. of Charleston, TN, two sons and spouses, Fred and Janet Presswood and Stacy and Cathy Presswood and one daughter and spouse, Angela and Gilbert Blackwell all of Cleveland, TN; two sisters, Judy Wilson and Audrey Barber both of Cleveland, TN; 9 grandchildren, Gilbert Blackwell, Jr., Tyler Blackwell, Tera Blackwell, Brandon Blankenship, Lynn Presswood, Shane Presswood, Jessica Presswood, David Presswood and Josh Clark; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Gail Scoggins officiating. Music provided by Vicky Botts and Robbie Cody. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Gilbert Blackwell, Jr, Brandon Blankenship, Amos Ellard, Tyler Blackwell, Charles Blackwell and Kenneth Blackwell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Presswood, Dusty Frederick, Josh Clark, Kim Cooley, Gerald Barber and Claud Allen Mowery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 24, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
