Ada Mae Cupp Sharp, age 85, resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, August 31, 2006. She passed away in a local hospital with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Sharp was a very faithful member of the North Cleveland Church of God where she was also a member of the Unity Sunday School Class. She was a partner in pastoral ministry with her husband, Joseph Sharp, for over 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse D. and Fannie Cupp, two brothers, Dana and Robert Cupp and two sisters, Marie Taylor and Mildred Cupp and one daughter in law, Linda Page Sharp.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Joseph F. Sharp, Cleveland, TN, two sons and daughters in law, Rev. Roland M. and Barbara Sharp, McMinnville, TN and Gary and Joyce Sharp, Hendersonville, TN; two brothers and sisters in law, James and Lois Cupp, Tipp City, Ohio and Ernest and Jeanie Cupp, Vandalia, Ohio; three sisters and brothers in law, Edna and Minnis Siler, Sterling Heights, Mich, Velma and Frank Douglas, New Haven, Mich, Norma and Cecil Leach, Gray Court, South Carolina. Five grandchildren and spouses, Renae and Bruce Dixon, Carmel, IN, Brent and Ashleigh Sharp, Murfreesboro, TN, Robert and Marla Sharp, Smyrna, TN, Bryan and Heather Sharp, Orlando, FL and Matt Sharp, Nashville, TN. Three step grandchildren and spouses, Tanya and Kyle Rutherford, Cleveland, Shana and Todd Garner, Trussville, AL and Abigail and Shea Hughes, Bonneterre, MO. Eight great grandchildren, Brandon Dixon, Lauren Dixon, Carson Sharp, Alexandra Sharp, Robyn Sharp, Rachel Sharp, Jared Sharp and Alison Sharp. Six step great grandchildren, Kylee and Cody Rutherford, Grayson and Davis Garner and Micah and Ryan Hughes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at North Cleveland Church of God with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire, General Overseer of the Church of God and Rev. Mitch Maloney, Pastor of North Cleveland Church of God officiating. Interment will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. at Mountain View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Members of the Unity Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the North Cleveland Church of God Sanctuary Building Fund.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the North Cleveland Church of God and also on Saturday, September 2, 2006, from 10 a.m. CST to 11 a.m. CST at the Locust Street Church of God in McMinnville, TN.
