Joyce Clayton Sharp

Joyce Clayton Sharp, age 77, resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, February 25, 2010, at her residence. Joyce graduated from Chattanooga High School, Chattanooga, Tennessee. She had lived in Cleveland for the past 42 years. During her entire time in Cleveland, she was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she actively participated in many of its ministries. She is survived by her husband, John E. Sharp, Jr. (Ed), Cleveland, TN; daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Marc Seinfeld, Ellicott City, Maryland; one son, John Sharp, III, Cleveland, TN; grandsons, Matthew and Jason Seinfeld of Ellicott City, Maryland.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Cliff Hudson and Rev. Jen Newell officiating. Interment will be held Monday, March 1, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the LOGOS Ministry (a children's/youth ministry program) or The Caring Place (a local food bank) c/o First Cumberland Presbyterian Church 161 2nd Street N.E. Cleveland, TN 37311.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 27, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service and also after the service at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
