Matthew Collin Raye Smith was only 15 years old, but he was wise beyond his years. He was known by family and friends as Collin, or better yet class clown . Collin was tragically taken from us in an automobile accident that occurred on Sunday Night August 3rd. unfortunately His half- brother Chad sustained fatal injuries as well. Before the accident the boys were having a good evening, doing what boys do. School was scheduled to start soon and Collin was excited about going in to the tenth grade at Cleveland High school. He entered the High school as a freshman. He attended Cleveland Jr. High, for the middle school years. Most of his elementary school years were at Mayfield. He spent some time in Myrtle Beach, SC, and went to school there a few months. He made many friends while there. But Collin made many friends everywhere he went. Not only was Collin friendly, he was compassionate; He was respectful; He was entertaining; He was responsible young man He was helpful when it came time to help do all the things that needed to be done with His special needs brother, Joey who went to Heaven April 07. Collin was a huge support to his mother during that time. Collin had a heart of Gold. Not only did Collin have a great attitude, He had great talents. Before he was big enough to hold a guitar, he was jamming to an imaginary guitar. When He was given a real guitar he thougth it was the best thing in the word. He tought himself how to play the guitar and then he tought himself how to play the drums. He played both instruments with pride. Although he could not read sheet music he played and did not miss a beat. Collin loved to skateboard and had a fascination with skateboarding since he was around 2 years old. Another one of his hobbies was playing video games. Another hobby of Collins was his drawings. Collin was very good at it and one of his favorite things to draw was his girlfriend Aleah. Collin also enjoyed spending time with us dog Racsal. He will be sadly missed by many friends and loved ones.
