Marie Smith

Marie F. Smith, age 75, resident of Charleston, TN, passed away Friday, November 17, 2006, in a local hospital. She was formerly employed with Life Care Center Nursing Home of Cleveland. Most recently she was a care giver and enjoyed that more than anything in life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Wells and Ova Lee Virginia, brothers and sisters, Grace Davis, Tommy Wells, Herchel Wells and Bid Hamby.

She is survived by her beloved husband, M. L. Smitty Smith, Charleston, TN, two sons and spouses, Donald and Leslie Smith, Winter Springs, FL and Larry and Sheila Smith, Charleston, TN; two daughters and spouse, Laura and Anson Smith, Katy, TX and Ginger Smith, Charleston, TN. Two sisters, Phyllis and Paul Taylor and Maxine Thompson all of Charleston, TN. Three grandchildren, one great grandchild and 14 nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. David Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ricky Wells, Jason Wells, Billy Franklin, Ernie Taylor, James McElrath and Scott McElrath serving as pallbearers.
