Georgia Metaxas Snow

Georgia Metaxas Snow, age 64, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years and was employed with Standifer Place at the time of her death. She loved flowers and she loved to garden. She loved her animals. She was a very proud grandmother of her precious Kaleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Snow, parents, Michael C. Metaxas and Irene Metaxas.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Snow of Cleveland, TN and Shelley Snow of Dania, Florida; grandaughter, Kaleigh Snow, Cleveland, TN; four brothers and sisters in law, John and Elaine Metaxas, Louisville, KY, Christopher and Teresa Metaxas and Dinos Metaxas of Cleveland, TN and Tassos and June Metaxas of Henderson, Nevada; one sister, Esther Metaxas, Cleveland, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 3, 2010, at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Tassos Metaxas and Rev. Steve Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom Fueneral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
