Roy Stephens

Roy Renzo Stephens, age 84, resident of Calhoun, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, April 22, 2010, in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church. He was a retired auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tressie Pauline Mask and his second wife, Lorene Stephens; parents, Gilbert and Myrtle Stephens; sister, Thelma and brothers, Roland and Roger Ray.

He is survived by his children, Jane Moser, Cleveland, TN, Mary Elliot, Cleveland, Danny Stephens, Jamestown, TN, Millie Dunford, Jamestown, TN, Joyce Moore, Knoxville, TN, Ruth Hicks, Georgetown, TN; Carolyn Buzzeo, Knoxville, TN; one step daughter, Linda Dale, Calhoun, TN; sisters, Mary Catherine Delk, Mayzelle Ritter, Evelene Hembree, Lois Reagan, Philous Stockton, Elma Rean Ward all of Jamestown, TN and Rose Wright of Indiana; brother, Charles Stephens. 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 23, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cheatham and Rev. Gary Moats officiating. Interment will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Calhoun First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Calhoun First Baptist Church.
