Georgia L. Stephenson

Georgia Lou Medley Stephenson, age 89, resident of Cleveland and formerly of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2007, in a Cleveland, TN hospital. Georgia was born January 30, 1918 to Hezekiah and Willie F. (Hanvey) Medley, in El Dorado, Illinois. She was a dare care cook and manager. Georgia was a telephone operator for the American Cancer Society in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Patterson Stephenson.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Billy Ray and Delores Stephenson, Cleveland, TN; two grandchildren and spouses, Karen and Glenn Slappy and Kymberlei and Wade Hall; three great grandchildren, Jordan and Gibby Slappy and Drew Hall. Special friends, Tina and Gerald Reddick, Evansville, IN; one sister in law, Betty Medley.

Funeral services will be held at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Evansville, Indiana, with Rev. Carl Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
