Gladys Dell Sult went home to be with the Lord February 14, 2009. She was just one month short of her 98th birthday.

She joined the Springfield Church of God in Jacksonville, Florida in 1923 and transferred her membership to the North Cleveland Church of God in 1975, when she moved to Cleveland, Tennessee where she resided until her death.

She worked faithfully all of her years in church benevolence ministries, ladies ministries, teaching Sunday School, and numerous other church activities. She enjoyed her family as well as sewing, making crafts, quilting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alton I Sult, and by 2 sons-in-law: Robert McKenzie and Rev. ONeil McCullough.

She is survived by her two daughters; Yvonne McKenzie of Jacksonville, Florida and Charlene McCullough of Cleveland, Tennessee. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Robert (Stacy) McKenzie of Charlotte, North Carolina; Malcolm McKenzie of Los Angeles, California; Kaye (David) Martin of Jacksonville, Florida; Faye (Kenneth) Hamilton of Jacksonville, Florida; Jim (Pam) McCullough of Franklin, Tennessee; Virgil (Jodi) McCullough of Austin, Texas; Al McCullough of Woodstock, New York; David (Tracy) McCullough of Knoxville, Tennessee; Dr. Carol McCullough of Nashville, Tennessee, and Joe (Tammy) McCullough of Cleveland, Tennessee. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

The viewing will be held at 11am Monday, February 17th at Grissom Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Cecil Guiles officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Robert McKenzie, Malcolm McKenzie, Joe McCullough, David Martin, Grady Townsend and Troy Long.
