Marie Officer Trotter

Marie Officer Trotter, age 84, resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday evening, August 11, 2006, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of a Greenhouse on Eureka Road in Cleveland and was well known for her great tomato plants and all of the wonderful vegetables that she grew every year. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd David Officer and her second husband, Glenn Trotter.

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Darrell and Jeanna Officer, Cleveland and Dennis and Linda Officer, Dalton, GA; one daughter, Joy Scoggins, Cleveland, TN. 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Officer, Zachary Officer, Joseph Harvey, Scot Harvey, Jody Officer, Amanda Officer, Cathy Officer, Michael Officer, Chris Officer and Floyd Officer, Jr. 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2006, at 8:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Nolen officiating. Interment will follow Monday, August 14, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
