Margaret Valentine

Margaret L. Valentine, age 85, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, December 19, 2008, in a local hospital. She was retired from the Bradley County Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a very dedicated member of the South Cleveland Church of God where she was a Sunday School teacher and a soul winner for Christ. She loved her church very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Valentine and parents, Jesse and Molly Jones and one beloved nephew who she raised, Larry Mashburn.

She is survived by two sisters, Laverne Pigg, Cleveland, TN and Dorothy White, Dalton, Georgia; one great niece, Kim Mizell; two cousins, Janis Allen and Betty Geren, Cleveland, TN and one very special friend, Charlene Moore, Cleveland, TN.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Moody and Rev. Jason Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Brian Holloway, Keith Holloway, Dennis Carson, Dewayne Lambert, Larry Samples, Randy Stripling serving as pallbearers.
