Bertha Vaughn, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at her home. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She was a former volunteer Gray Lady at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was a retired hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bill Vaughn, Sr.; parents, Sam and Doan Orton Creasman; three brothers, Charles Creasman, Earl Creasman, and Arthur Creasman; and one sister, Lillie May Burns.
Survivors include two sons, James Bill Vaughn, Jr. and wife, Jan of Omaha, TX, and Winston Vaughn and wife Kathi of Gordon, GA; one daughter, Karen King of Whitwell, TN; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Mart Duggan officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
