Frank J. Watson

Frank J. Watson, age 80, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in an Etowah hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a well known politician. He always helped people in need and loved to give away his fruits and vegetables he raised. He was a farmer and a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Watson and Bertie Cross Watson and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Watson, Cleveland, TN, two sons, Chris Watson, Cleveland, TN and Dennis Watson, Birmingham, AL, three daughters, Trecia Watson, Cleveland, TN, Donna Newberry, Bristol, TN and Kimberly Creasman, Old Fort, TN, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. 3 brothers, Lane Wad Watson, Billy Watson, Richard Watson and one sister, Joyce Wagner, all of Cleveland, TN. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Beecher White officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family requests memorials be made to the Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
