Eugene C. Weaver

Mr. Weaver, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at a local hospital. Eugene Gene Clifton Weaver, Sr. was born in Reform, Alabama on March 31, 1921, the fourth child of John and Essie Weaver. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #134 Cleveland, Tennessee for 63 years, and was Worshipful Master in 1951. He was an avid golfer, a member of First Christian Church, and enjoyed traveling and good food with his life companion, Louise Chase.

He is survived by his brother Max Weaver (married to Jane Weaver), his son Clifton Weaver, his daughter Vickie Weaver Batzka, his grandchildren Candice Watson (married to Blake Mills) and Diana Hodges-Batzka (married to John Hodges-Batzka), his great-grandson Gareth Watson-Mills, his extended family, and all his girls .

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Cleveland, Tennessee, located at 3925 North Ocoee St. Visitation will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church.
