J B. White

J. B. White, age 87, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, in a local healthcare facility. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired with 35 years of service as a truck driver with Magic Chef. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was a veteran of WWII and served as a tail gunner on a B-52 in the United States Army Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Faye White and parents, Lewis Wyatt White and Lucy White.

He is survived by three nephews, Harlan White, Kingsport, TN, Wade White, Georgetown, TN and Dennis White, Cleveland, TN and two nieces, Karen Morrow, Birchwood, TN and Nadine Arms, Cleveland, TN. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jerry Arms officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
