Anita R. Wilkerson

Anita Rosa Wilkerson, age 53, resident of Cleveland, TN, died suddenly Sunday, August 2, 2009, in a local hospital, after an illness of several months. She was a member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She was a member of a quilting group and she loved to sew and make her own clothes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. C. Womble and parents, Milton and Thelma Oak Bawges.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth A. Wilkerson; two sons, Chistopher Womble and Joshua Womble and two daughters, Elisa Fulk and Rebecca Womble all of Cleveland, TN; one ½ sister, Susan Nipper, Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Megan Bawgus, Michael Nelson, Andrew Bawgus and Samuel Bright; mother in law and father in law, Guy and Leola Wilkerson, Bentonville, Arkansas and brother in law, Merlin Wilkerson, Dallas, Texas.

A memorial service celebrating the life and home going of Anita Wilkerson will be held Thursday, August 6, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Reed Shell and Rev. Debbie Stokes officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Broad Street United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
