Margaret Louise Wheeler Willetts (1935-2009)
Born September 20th, 1935 in Pender County, North Carolina. The only daughter of a minister, raised with five brothers, she excelled in academics and music. She was married for fifty-three years to Rev. David G. Willetts of Wilmington, NC. The beloved mother of four daughters and one son, Mrs. Willetts loved to read, crochet, work in her garden, and enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them (she is famous for her fried chicken). She served along side her husband in various ministries including twenty-six years as pastors wife of the Fillmore Ave. Church of God in Alexandria, VA. She retired to Cleveland with her husband in 2004. She passed away on the evening of October 23, 2009.
She is preceded in death by her husband David, and son David Matthew (Matt). She is survived by daughters Susan Renee McEachin of Tifton, GA, Rebecca Denise Mendel of Cleveland, TN, Amy Louise Nitz of Tampa, FL, Melanie Rose Willetts of Cleveland, TN, sons-in-law Rev. Daniel McEachin, Rev. Kevin Mendel, Rev. David Nitz, grandchildren, April Sutton, Mark Mendel, Allison Mendel, Michael Nitz, James Nitz, Phillip Nitz, great grandchildren Tobias Nitz, and Nigel Nitz, brothers Patrick, Norman, Thomas, Richard, and David.
Viewing will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday October 26 with service at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 4745 Mouse Creek Rd. Cleveland, TN. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Mendel, Rev. David Nitz, and Rev. Daniel McEachin with internment to be at the Mount Olive Cemetery on Harrison Pike. Pallbearers: Michael Nitz, Phillip Nitz, Mark Mendel, Andrew Sutton, David Wheeler, Tommy Wheeler.
