Frieda G. Wilson

d. June 12, 2010

Frieda G. Wilson, 66 of Cleveland, TN went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, following complications with diabetes.

Born September 13, 1943 in Pemberton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frasure and Elizabeth Meador.

She was a retired employee of the Church of God International Offices and a member of the Pine Hill Church of God, where she was a long time Sunday School sanctuary class teacher. She was gifted in writing poetry, especially inspirational poetry, and was recognized, by all who knew her, as a devoted mother, wife, and follower of her Lord Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 47 years, Howard Buddy Wilson; two sons, Howard Wilson Jr. and his wife Cheryl, of Cleveland, TN and Curtis Wilson of Morgantown, WV; four grand children, Britney, Victoria, Howie and Alex.

She is survived by two sisters; Wanda Martin and her husband Roy Dale of Cleveland, TN, Sandra Sears and her husband Russell of Glen White, WV; one brother, Vernon Dane Meador and his wife Ruth of Cleveland, TN, many special nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday at the Grissom Funeral Home in Cleveland. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor David Beatty, and Bishop Roy Dale Martin, immediately following the visitation Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

There will also be visitation at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Bradley, WV, on Friday, June 18, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with graveside services following.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Frieda fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith; there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her at that day: and not to her only, but unto all them also that love His appearing (II Timothy 4:7-8).
