Willard H. Wilson, age 83, resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with his Savior on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. He was a member at Waterville Baptist Church where he served as deacon. In June of 2009 he felt led to help his son in ministry at Flint Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. He was retired from Magic Chef. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as Staff Sergeant, Cannon Company, 7th Infantry and was a veteran of WWII. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and doing projects for his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Andrew Wilson and Mary Maybelle Ingram Wilson and one grandson, Keith Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nan Wilson; two sons and daughters in law, Barry Wilson and Jennifer and Rev. Kevin Wilson and Dianne all of Cleveland and one daughter and son in law, Pamela Ward and Richard of Knoxville, TN; two brothers and sisters in law, Ralph Wilson and Gwendola of Cleveland, Billy Don Wilson and Jackie of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Nadia Kimsey and Wanda Thompson, of Cleveland, TN and Eunice Evans, Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Mark Wilson and his wife, Melissa of Newport News, Virginia, Beth Wilson and Amy S. Wilson of Cleveland and one step grandson, David Henderson, also of Cleveland. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Lovelace, Rev. Joe Brooks and Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family requests no flowers. Please make memorial contributions to Waterville Baptist Church building fund or Flint Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net
